We have mapped the childhood immunisation coverage across Western Australia by Statistical Areas Level 3 (SA3), providing valuable regional insights into vaccination uptake and protection levels for young children compiled by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
The dataset displays the percentage of children in each SA3 who are immunised against key vaccine-preventable diseases: hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, haemophilus influenzae type b, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, pneumococcal disease, varicella and meningococcal C.
It also reports the proportion of children who are fully immunised at ages 12 months, 24 months and 60 months in line with the National Immunisation Program Schedule.
This new layer supports users to better understand spatial patterns in childhood immunisation coverage, identify areas where uptake may be lower, and inform targeted public health planning, service delivery and community outreach initiatives.
