FAQ’s

'The spatial datasets have been sourced from Data WA which are publicly accessible "Open" licensed datasets that are "available for use by everyone". Datasets sourced from elsewhere have the data custodians’ permission to be displayed on the Thriving Perth Portal.

The data catalogue provides full information on the source and data custodians of each spatial dataset.

If you have an idea for a spatial dataset you would like to see added to the Thriving Perth Portal, or you have a dataset you would like to add, please contact us Contact to discuss this.

The portal is currently in beta testing and pilot development phase. Access is limited to partners who are helping us trial and refine the portal. These applications will be developed as case studies to support the next steps of the development of the portal, as well as developing examples for how to optimise its use.

The date of the spatial datasets are displayed in the information box for each data layer in the map portal and in the data catalogue.

The datasets have been created by the respective data custodians. The metadata displayed in the information panel on the map portal and the data catalogue page provides information on the content and creation of the dataset. A link to the source dataset is also provided for more information.
